Sweetside is a Hamilton-based indie pop/rock band blending catchy pop melodies with the energy and edge of indie rock. What started as singer Nathan Bugiardini's solo project quickly grew into a four-piece with Ryan Barr on drums, Nathan O'Rielly Juarez on lead guitar, and Joe McGinley on bass-bringing together four different musical backgrounds and a shared love for making music that's just as fun to play as it is to listen to.

Influenced by artists like Dominic Fike, The Backseat Lovers, The Strokes, and Justin Bieber, Sweetside pulls from many genres. From jazz and funk to blues, metal, and pop, each member brings something different to the table, shaping a sound that draws on all their influences without settling on just one.

Since forming, Sweetside has wasted little time getting onstage, playing venues like the Horseshoe Tavern and the Rivoli, along with NXNE and the CNE. Their live show has become a major part of who they are. The band puts a lot of work into making each performance tight and polished, while keeping the energy and spontaneity that make their shows so sweet. Between the band's easygoing personalities and high-energy performances, there's a natural chemistry that carries from the stage into the crowd.

After releasing their debut single "Dimes" in May 2026, the band has continued bringing new music to the stage, including their latest single, "Not My Type," a live favourite now accompanied by their first official music video. With more songs in the works and plans to release new music regularly, Sweetside is shifting its focus toward building its catalogue, growing its audience online, and bringing that momentum back to the stage in the year ahead.
